Cell phones vs land lines

This seems to be one monthly bill that you never quite know how much it is going to be. While most are trying to cut their bills how do you handle this dilemma? Fox news offered some advice on cell phone situations. They are reporting that 89% of the U.S. population is now using cell phones. Only 20% still continue to have a land line.

Who has not been shocked at least once when they have opened their cell phone bill. My experience has led me to be very cautious about cell phones and the whole contract issue. What a racket this industry is. You know that they he got to be making money hand over fist and still they nickel and dime you over everything.

I have tried single plans, family plans and unlimited plans. Others that I have spoke to over the years have the same idea that it is a love hate relationship. You feel to isolated if you don't have a cell phone but you definitely pay the price if you do. As mentioned in this article even calling 911 is an extra fee. Now the U.S. set up the 911 protocol for the good of the American people and sure enough the cell phone companies have found a way to profit from that as well.

I guess if you want a phone you have to deal with things you are not fond of. Look around, compare prices and make sure that you get a phone and a plan that best suits your needs. There are a lot of less expensive alternatives out there these days that can help you slash that bill and let the big guys know that you DON'T have to tolerate their terms!

  1. I have been with the same carrier for ten years, and with that comes some advantages. For instance, I have three phones and all of them have the internet for free. I aquired this by desputing a bill once and threatened to leave. I have found that tenure with one company goes alot farther than anything else.
Good blog I enjoyed reading it.
